Founding Artistic Director
Hannah Welch is a dance artist originally from the foothills of North Carolina. She attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts as a high school ballet major under the direction of Ethan Stiefel and went on to receive her BFA in contemporary dance performance under the direction of Brenda Daniels. She has trained across the United States with American Ballet Theatre, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Charlotte Ballet, Complexions, Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet, and Keigwin + CO. Hannah has had the privilege to perform classical repertoire such as Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Rodeo, Etudes, Fanfare, Concerto Grosso, and Terelli as well as premier original roles by Susan McCullough, Brenda Daniels, Helen Simoneau, Larry Keigwin, and Ted Thomas. She has performed across the USA and abroad in ballet, modern and contemporary dance performing with companies such as Winston-Salem Festival Ballet, Inclined Dance Project, Thomas Ortiz Dance, Gibney Dance Company, Dusan Tynek Dance Theatre, Lincoln Center Education, Mei/Co. Dance, Dance Ensemble Singapore and Southold Dance Theatre. As a choreographer, her works have been presented on stages in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Connecticut, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Illinois and Singapore. She is the grateful and honored for the opportunity to share her knowledge and passion for movement.
