Hannah Newman-Pan

Hannah is from Pittsburgh, PA and trained at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School. She graduated summa cum laude from the Ailey/Fordham BFA program in 2016 with a double major in Dance and English. She is entering her fourth season as a company member with Peridance Contemporary Dance Company, where she has performed works by Igal Perry, Alice Klock, Adam Barruch, Norbert De La Cruz III, Jae Man Joo, and Yoshito Sakuraba, among others. She has performed professionally with Gibney Dance, Arch Contemporary Ballet, and Texture Contemporary Ballet. Hannah is also the grants coordinator for Shining Light, an organization that takes professional artists into correctional facilities to bring hope to incarcerated men and women through intensive performing arts workshops. She is honored and excited to be a part of the Awakening Movement team.
